According to insiders, Zomato’s founder Deepinder Goyal tied the knot with Mexican entrepreneur Grecia Munoz two months back and they recently came back from their honeymoon in February. The news first surfaced on social media when Deepinder Goyal posted a picture with Grecia Munoz, following which sources close to him confirmed their marriage.

Who exactly is Grecia Munoz?

Grecia Munoz, originally from Mexico, gained prominence as a model before shifting her attention to her upscale consumer goods business. She received the Metropolitan Fashion Week award in the US in 2022 for her fashion impact. In addition to her modeling achievements, Grecia is involved in hosting television programs, as indicated in her Instagram profile.

Goyal’s marriage to Grecia Munoz is his second. His first marriage was to Kanchan Joshi, whom he met at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT)-Delhi.

In an open conversation with Forbes, the CEO of Zomato shared stories of his courtship with Kanchan Joshi. Both were enrolled in the Mathematics and Computing department at IIT-Delhi, where Goyal confessed to admiring her from a distance before gathering the courage to pursue her. They eventually became friends and spent time together.

Joshi, now a Mathematics professor at Delhi University, prefers to keep the details of her separation from Goyal private. The couple reportedly has a daughter named Siara.

News of Deepinder Goyal’s marriage to Grecia Munoz surfaced just two days after Zomato faced significant criticism on social media for introducing a “pure veg mode.” Despite Goyal’s attempts to justify the decision, Zomato ultimately reversed the introduction of green uniforms for the “pure veg fleet,” clarifying that all delivery executives will continue wearing the standard red uniform.
