Actor Ranveer Singh has made an investment in Aman Gupta’s boAt and has been appointed as the brand ambassador

BoAt, the consumer electronics brand, has secured an undisclosed investment from Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh and formed a strategic partnership.

Ranveer Singh becomes part of boAt’s group of brand ambassadors, which includes Jemimah Rodrigues, Kiara Advani, Rashmika Mandanna, Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, and Shreyas Iyer.

BoAt, known for audio products and smartwatches, has received funding from actor Ranveer Singh shortly after announcing its sales surpassed the INR 3,000 Cr mark in the fiscal year ending March 31, 2023.

 BoAt, founded in 2015, operates in the audio and wearables markets, offering headphones, smartwatches, and speakers. The startup has raised a total of $177 million from investors like Qualcomm Ventures, Warburg Pincus, InnoVen Capital, Navi Technologies, and Fireside Ventures.

 BoAt recorded a revenue of Rs 3,377 crore in FY23 but incurred a loss of Rs 129.4 crore. Competitors include Noise, Fire-Boltt, and MI, with boAt leading the wearables market with a 26.6% share in H1 2023, as per International Data Corporation (IDC).
