Paytm e-commerce rebrands as Pai Platforms

Paytm e-commerce has officially changed its name to Pai Platforms after receiving approval from the Registrar of Companies. The company submitted the name change request approximately three months ago, and it was approved on February 8.

Additionally, it was reported that Paytm E-commerce has acquired a seller platform called Bitsila on ONDC.

A notification from the Registrar of Companies dated February 8 stated, “The company’s name has been updated from Paytm E-Commerce Private Limited to Pai Platforms Private Limited as per the certificate issued on this date. The company was initially established under the name Paytm E-Commerce Private Limited.”

A source mentioned by PTI stated, “Pai Platforms is a prominent buyer platform on the ONDC network, and the acquisition of Bitsila will strengthen its position in the commerce sector.”

Elevation Capital holds the largest share in Paytm E-commerce, with support from Paytm’s Founder and CEO Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Softbank, and eBay.
