Bharat Electronics secures an order worth Rs 847 crore from the Finance Ministry

Bharat Electronics Ltd. has clinched orders totaling Rs 847 crore from the Finance Ministry, with a significant Rs 665.84-crore order specifically from the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs. The order encompasses the provision, installation, and maintenance of information technology and networking infrastructure, including centralized management and monitoring, as outlined in their exchange filing issued on Tuesday.

Bharat Electronics will offer maintenance support for five years, including the implementation period, as stated in the filing.

Additionally, the company has secured another order valued at Rs 182 crore for various spares and services. This marks one of the most significant civilian projects acquired by BEL through a competitive process in FY24, according to the filing.


On January 17, the company secured a Rs 695 crore order from Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd. for supplying missile system spares.

Additionally, it received more orders valued at Rs 339.3 crore for combat management systems, composite communication systems, mobile autonomous stabilization systems, and other spares.

Bharat Electronics’ shares closed 1.62% lower at Rs 187.95 each, slightly more than the 1.13% decline in the benchmark BSE Sensex.
